Listen, when I first watched and heard "The Wall" back in 1987 (I rented it from a place called Popingo Video, right up the hill from Concord St). it really blew me away. I got so emotional and I cried a lot. That was when I knew I was an empath. I was feeling the hurt of someone elses music. Probably being severly bullied from indergarten to 9th grade may have had something to do with it. Kids were so amazingly cruel to me. Like what did I do? I could never figure it out. Then I realized I was a white kid in a school that was 80% black and latino and as a minority there, they tortured me. It followed me from Elementary to Middle to High school. I ended up quitting high school and later going back to get a high school diploma via mail. I worked my ass off studying and taking tests for 3 years to get a high school diploma as to not settle for a GED. But, the taunts of those kids always resonates & I understand why The Wall hit me as hard as it did. And it is no wonder it hits others like this. Music clears you out, it heals you. Always has.
